You can now find us on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/gironentreprise\">Facebook <\/a><\/strong>or on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.linkedin.com\/company\/giron-entreprise\">LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong>.<br>And we're not to be outdone by the year 2024, which also promises some exciting prospects. Here's a quick overview...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\" data-block-type=\"core\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-block-type=\"core\">1924-2024: already 100 years of Giron<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit <strong>June 30, 2024<\/strong>our company, a national leader in screen cloths, will be celebrating its anniversary. <strong>100 years<\/strong>. To celebrate this anniversary and important event, management is planning a reception full of surprises for all employees, past and present, on June 22, 2024. This will be the occasion for the company to organize a private open house for its staff, so that everyone can introduce their families to their working environment, their unique heritage and their specific, industrial craft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>monumental sculpture<\/strong> specially created by a local artist from production waste recovered at the plant, will be unveiled on this occasion. Made from steel wire, the work of art symbolizes the four Giron generations that have succeeded one another over the course of this century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.203104.numlog.fr\/en\/histoire-du-criblage-et-naissance-de-la-societe\/\">book on 100 years of Giron<\/a><\/strong>written in collaboration with C\u00e9cile Girardin, will be published in January 2024 and distributed to our employees, suppliers and customers. The book looks back at Giron's history and family heritage. A retrospective that pays tribute to the founding men of this company, which arrived in Ch\u00e2tellerault in 1962 and has been hailed and recognized as an ambassador of living heritage, notably through its social and societal approach passed down from generation to generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, we will be present at the <strong>SIM exhibition<\/strong>a leading player in the extractive industries sector in France, the <strong>October 1, 2 and 3, 2024 in Dijon<\/strong>. We'll be taking advantage of the occasion to celebrate our 100th anniversary in the presence of our customers, who will be invited to our stand where surprises await them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\" data-block-type=\"core\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-block-type=\"core\">Another successful year for our CSR policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The year 2024 will be distinguished by the continuation of our actions in favour of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.203104.numlog.fr\/en\/developpement-durable\/\">environmental protection and circular economy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-custom-giron-gris-clair-background-color has-background\">\"Circular economy and CSR are everyday campaigns\",<br><em>Nicolas Charri\u00e8re, General Manager<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our first commitment is to set up a <strong>certification process <a href=\"https:\/\/ecovadis.com\/fr\/\">EcoVadis<\/a><\/strong>. This program helps companies to adapt their production to environmental, social and ethical issues, based on CSR principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Secondly, Giron has volunteered with the DREAL, Direction r\u00e9gionale de l'Environnement, de l'Am\u00e9nagement et du Logement de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, to establish its <strong>carbon footprint<\/strong> to find ways of producing with the lowest possible pollutant emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also have a project to install <strong>photovoltaic panels<\/strong> for the production of 500 kWp to generate our own electricity to the tune of 60%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Giron has always been proactive on these issues, but there is always room for improvement and better environmental results. L'<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.203104.numlog.fr\/en\/2023\/03\/actus-cse\/\">installation of beehives<\/a><\/strong> next to our buildings has done much to protect bees, and hence the environment and biodiversity.
